Tonight we broadcast our decision making process from Round 4 of Warriors Pro Nurburgring.
I must say it was rather nerve racking doing this live. We have held many of these meetings since we started championship races but this is a new wrinkle and hopefully gives some insight to the back of house passion behind Bongo Racing.
I’m sure it was uncomfortable at times to watch because it was pretty uncomfortable to do. I said to the Team earlier that this is either going to be an inspired call or open a massive can of worms. I know our drivers are mature enough to see that the calls that are being made are not against people on a personal level. The calls are being made about driving standards.
The easy thing to do with complaints of bad driving and incidents during a race would be to brush them off and hope that people get the message and move on. At some level this probably works but it causes rot and division, people slip off never to race with us again. We don’t want that.
So, tonight was about being open about our process. The meeting took its normal format, warts and all. If a member was involved in one of the incidents they did not take part in that debate. Above all we aim to be clear and unbiased.
The aim is to continue to make Bongo Racing a great place to race, learn and socialise.
Thank you for your support.
