This Tuesday the Bongo Racers head to Watkins Glen for the final round of Bongo V’s World, the third leg of the Bongo World Series.
After six exciting races the top slots in both Silver and Gold Classes are still not decided.
There will be a count back with the worst races of each driver ruled out but as it stands:
Jonathan Hallas leads the way in Gold with a 56 point lead over Darragh Walsh but with 83 points on the table Jonathan will have to play it cool and bring home to solid finishes if he’s going to take the title.
Darragh on the other hand is only 13 points ahead of Robin Tate and speaking for myself I would love to be on the second spot of the podium.
In forth place is the super fast Gwyn Baker. Gwyn has been unlucky with a few of the races and if he holds it together, could leapfrog ahead of Robin as he is only eight points further back.
In the Silver Class: Dan Kearney has lead from the start and has a solid lead over his buddy Ciaran. Will the l Swatragh men come to blows in these last two races? Ciaran with the wind behind him could still take the class title.
John Lowe and Tony Star are waiting in the wings to take a podium place or two away if the Derry boys mess up. It’s nail biting.
The Bongo World Series has been a great success and the next set of events are going to have to lift the bar once again as our drivers just get better and better.
Watkins Glen all kicks of at 9pm UK on Tuesday 15th.
